THE DAILY RECORD, San Marcos, TX., Friday, August 2, 2013 - PAGE 313 <br />PUBLIC NOTICE - BUDGET HEARING <br />THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL <br />PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR'S BUDG- <br />ET BY $1,083,603 OR 6.8 %, AND OF THAT <br />AMOUNT $549,421 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE <br />RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO <br />THE ROLL THIS YEAR. <br />All citizens are invited to attend and participate with both written and /or oral <br />comments and /or questions concerning the entire 2013 -2014 Budget in a <br />public hearing to be held by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council <br />Chambers at City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Texas, includ- <br />ing all funds in the following categories: (1) General Fund; (2) Debt Service <br />Fund; (3) Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund; (4) Municipal Court Technology <br />Fund; (5) Municipal Court Security Fee Fund; (6) Municipal Court Juvenile <br />Fee Fund, (7) Municipal Court Efficiency Fee; (8) Seized Assets Fund; (9) <br />TIRZ #2 Fund; (10) TIRZ #3 Fund; (11) TIRZ #5; (12) Community <br />Development Block Grant Program Fund; (13) W.I.C. Program Fund; (14) <br />Cemetery Operations Fund; (15) PEG Funds; (16) Cemetery Perpetual <br />Care Fund; (17) Capital Improvements Funds - General Cash, General <br />Debt, Water/Wastewater and Drainage; (18) Water/Wastewater Utility <br />Fund; (19) Drainage Utility Fund; (20) -Electric Utility Fund; (21) Municipal <br />Airport Fund; (22) Waste Collection Utility Fund ; and (23) Transit Fund. <br />Copies of these proposed budgets, along with the City Manager's recom- <br />mendations to bring estimated revenues and expenditures into balance, <br />and the proposed budgets summarized below, may be inspected at the <br />Public Library, 625 E. Hopkins Street, Monday through Thursday from <br />10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays <br />from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br />(except holidays) or online at sanmarcostx.gov. <br />The City of San Marcos does not discriminate on the basis of disability in <br />the admission or access to its services, programs, or activities.
