<br /> 18 <br />Regular Meeting April 9, 1984 Page 7 <br />Mayor Craddock moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Hankins advised the Council <br />the provision in the Ordinance permitting certain line item adjust- <br />ments within the administrative unit would not include personnel <br />items, such as salaries. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Ordinance <br />EXHIBIT "A" in #33 LIBRARY, Line Item 5110 SALARIES under the REVISED <br />APPROPRIATIONS column from "$108,507.00" to "$108,057 . 0 0". Mr. Guerra <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.* Acting Finance Director <br />Wayne Moore advised the Council our estimated sales tax would be <br />$100,000 more this year. On roll call for approval of the Ordinance <br />on first reading, the vote was recorded as follows: <br /> AYE: Brown, Coddington, Farr, Craddock, Kissler. <br /> NAY: Guerra. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br />There was a brief discussion on items which had been submitted to <br />the City Manager for budget requests which had been denied by the <br />City Manager. The Council directed the six-month budget amendment <br />ordinance be scheduled for discussion in a workshop meeting. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS AND LOCATION AND USE <br /> OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br /> 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 1.1 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, <br /> OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO. TWO BEING A <br /> PORTION OF THAT 2.29 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO <br /> J. E. GARY AND CHRISTINE E. GARY BY DEED DATED AUGUST <br /> 26, 1960 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 183, PAGE 289, HAYS <br /> COUNTY DEED RECORDS A/KIA 1629 OLD POST ROAD FROM "AO" <br /> (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "D" (MULTI-FAMILY <br /> DWELLING DISTRICT). <br />Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and <br />Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR <br /> OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE <br /> OF FIFTEEN PERCENT (15%) TO THE TAX BILLS OF DELINQUENT <br /> TAXPAYERS PURSUANT TO SECTION 33.07 OF THE TEXAS PROPERTY <br /> TAX CODE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Craddock moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading <br />and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />* Mr. Moore left the meeting and was not present to vote on this mat- <br />ter. <br />
