<br />-2- <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the following propositions to amend the <br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas shall be submitted to the <br />resident qualified voters of said City on said date for their <br />consideration and/or action thereon: <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />Proposition No.1 <br /> <br />Amending Section 2.Ø3 of the City Charter <br />to require compliance with applicable <br />state annexation laws. <br /> <br />Proposition No.2 <br /> <br />Amend the City Charter by deleting <br />Section 3.Ø2 (a)(3) which requires that a <br />City Council Member must be up to date in <br />the payment of taxes and other <br />liabilities due -t.he City. <br /> <br />Proposition No.3 <br /> <br />Amend Section 3.Ø2(a) (4) of the City <br />Charter to provide that City Council <br />Members may serve as Council <br />Representatives to various groups. <br /> <br />Proposition No.4 <br /> <br />Amend Section 3.Ø2(a) (5) of the City <br />Charter to establish and clarify the <br />meaning of "Public Service Corporation. II <br /> <br />Proposition No.5 <br /> <br />Amend Section 3.Ø4 of the City Charter to <br />provide City Council Members with <br />budgeted funds for their actual official <br />city business expenses and mandating the <br />establ ishment of requirements for <br />reimbursement. <br /> <br />Proposition No.6 <br /> <br />Amend Section 3.Ø6 of the City Charter to <br />require compliance with the Texas <br />Election Code. <br /> <br />Proposition No.7 <br /> <br />Amend Section 3.Ø8 of the City Charter to <br />clarify the role of the City Council with <br />respect to Council appointees and their <br />subordinates. <br /> <br />Proposition No.8 <br /> <br />Amend Section 3.Ø9 of the City Charter to <br />require the City Council to establish <br />rules and regulations for the conduct of <br />public business. <br /> <br />Proposition No.9 <br /> <br />Amend the City Charter by deleting the <br />provision found in Section 3.13 which <br />requires recodification of the Charter <br />every ten (lØ) years. <br />
