<br />145 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1988-26 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITv OR ~AN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT STREET KNOWN <br />AS HILLCREST DRIVE LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS <br />OF SAID CITY TO EAST HILLCREST AND WEST HILLCREST, <br />DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS, THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND THE DIRECTOR OF <br />ENVIRONMENT AND ENGINEERING TO ENTER SAID CHANGE IN AND <br />UPON OFFICIAL RECORDS AND MAPS, AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, residences on Hillcrest Drive have been given duplicate <br />addresses to the east and west of Ridgeway; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to reduce confusion it is desireable to <br />designate Hillcrest Drive to the east of Ridgeway as East Hillcrest and <br />the remaining portion of said drive to the west of Ridgeway as West <br />Hillcrest, thereby eliminating the duplication of addresses; now, <br />there fore, <br /> <br />BE <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />IT <br /> <br />ORDAINED <br /> <br />BY <br /> <br />THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the street known as Hillcrest Drive located <br />within the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, shall be <br />known as East Hillcrest from the east line of Ridgeway extending to its <br />intersection with the west line of Chestnut and West Hillcrest from the <br />west line of Ridgeway extending to its intersection with the east line <br />of Barclay. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the City Secretary, the Director of Public Works, <br />the Director of Planning and the Director of Environment and <br />Engineering be, and they are hereby directed, to enter said changes in <br />name in and on all official records and maps. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby directed <br />to cause street signs to be erected reflecting the change in name from <br />Hillcrest Drive to East Hillcrest Drive and West Hillcrest Drive <br />respectively. <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
