<br />149 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1988-21R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT ELECTION <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS AND THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE HOLDING OF <br />AN ELECTION ON MAY 7, 1988~ AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br />ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />hereby finds and determines that it is in the best interest of <br />said City for the City to cooperate with the San Marcos <br />Consolidated Independent- School District in the holding of the <br />general city election on May 7, 1988~ and, <br /> <br />ìvHEREAS, said School District- is willing to participate in <br />the holding of a joint general election on that date ~ now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the Joint Elect.ion Agreement between the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas and the San Marcos Consol idated Independent <br />School District for the holding of the general city election of <br />May 7, 1988, a copy of which agreement. is attached heret.o and <br />incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, is hereby <br />approved in all respects. <br /> <br />PART 2. That. the r.1ayor of said City, J. E. Younger, is <br />hereby authorized to execute said Joint Election Agreement on <br />behalf of the City of San Marcos., <br /> <br />PART 3.
