<br /> 93 <br /> Regular Meeting May 14, 1984 Page 8 <br /> THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, SAME ALSO BEING A POR- <br /> TION OF THAT CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND REFERRED TO IN <br /> CAUSE NO. 3591, PROBATE RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, <br /> IN FAVOR OF JACK HER}ßN WELGE, A/K/A 1615 AQUARENA <br /> SPRINGS DRIVE, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br /> DISTRICT) TO "D" (MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT). <br /> Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final <br /> reading and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br /> mously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br /> on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1980-37 WHICH DE- <br /> TERMINED APPROPRIATIONS FOR REVENUE SHARING ENTITLE- <br /> MENT NO. 12; AMENDING ORDINANCE 1981-70 WHICH DETER- <br /> MINED APPROPRIATIONS FOR REVENUE SHARING ENTITLEMENT <br /> NO. 13; AMENDING ORDINANCE 1982-41 WHICH DETERMINED <br /> APPROPRIATIONS FOR REVENUE SHARING ENTITLEMENT NO. 14; <br /> AMENDING ORDINANCE 1983-45 ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 12, 1983 <br /> WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE <br /> OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL <br /> GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING <br /> OCTOBER 1, 1983, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, AND <br /> APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES <br /> OF SUCH ESTIMATE; TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO RE- <br /> APPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; TO PERMIT CERTAIN LINE ITEM <br /> ADJUSTMENTS WITHIN ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT APPROPRIATIONS <br /> AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 8.17 OF THE CHARTER; ADOPTING <br /> SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Craddock moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final <br /> reading and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra moved to amend <br /> the Ordinance to include $1,100.00 in the Parks and Recreation Budget <br /> for the addition of an after-school dance class to be offered to junior <br /> and high schools for the school year beginning August 27. The funds <br /> would pay for the instructor at $550 per month and the $1,100.00 is <br /> to be allocated from contingency funds. Mr. Coddington seconded the <br /> motion. During discussion Mr. Brown advised the Council there might <br /> possibly be a grant funded for the school system with the Parks and <br /> Recreation Department of programs after school. Some Council Members <br /> expressed concern that this had not been taken before the Parks and <br /> Recreation Board for their approval and/or recommendation. The Council <br /> voted unanimous approval for Mr. Guerra's amendment. <br /> Mr. Brown moved to amend the Ordinance to include a new position at <br /> the Animal Shelter in the amount of $5,506.62 for six months, such <br /> funds to be taken from fund balance. Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. <br /> On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Coddington, Farr, Craddock, Kissler. <br /> NAY: Guerra. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br />
