Other Participating/Cooperative Organizations: <br /> <br />Juvenile Judge - A working relationship with the Jpvenile Judge will enable the <br />juvenile officer to keep abreast of juvenile case law and philosophical approaches <br />to its implementation. <br /> <br />Juvenile Probation Department - A close relationship with the Probation Officer <br />is essential to the juvenile officer's success in dealing with the juvenile <br />offender. By working sixty to seventy-five man hours per month in conjunction <br />with the Probation Officer enables the juvenile officer to provide input into <br />the status of youthful offenders. <br /> <br />School District - The juvenile officer has developed contacts with the school <br />district personnel. As a result of the juvenile officer's involvement with <br />school activities, juveniles have garnered an increasingly positive image of <br />the Police Department. <br /> <br />Greater San Marcos Youth Council - This organization acts as an information <br />network for all youth agencies within our community. <br /> <br />Hays County Emergency Youth Shelter - This temporary placement shelter insures <br />that juvenile offenders are rehabilitated rather than punished. <br /> <br />Youth Services Bureau - The juvenile officer supports the Big Brother/Big <br />Sister program established by the Youth Services Bureau. <br /> <br />Texas Department of Human Services - Close cooperation between this agency <br />and the Department of Human Services is essential in providing competent <br />services to juvenile victims. <br /> <br />4.
