<br /> 41 <br /> Special Meeting June 7, 1984 Page 2 <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, which was removed from the consensus agenda, the <br /> caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF <br /> BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, <br /> 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF TWO TRACTS <br /> OF 5.280 ACRES BEING: TRACT ONE: 2.980 ACRES, MORE OR <br /> LESS, OF LAND AREA IN THE THOMAS H. W. FORSYTH SURVEY, <br /> HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION OF THAT 23.92 ACRE <br /> TRACTS DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM L. SUMNER TOWNSEND, ET <br /> UX, TO WILLIAM A. WYATT DATED MAY 17, 1922 AND RECORDED <br /> IN VOLUME 83, PAGE 309 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS <br /> AND TRACT TWO: 2.30 ACRES OF LAND AREA IN THE THOMAS H. <br /> W. FORSYTH SURVEY, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION <br /> OF THAT 23.92 ACRE TRACT DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM L. SUM- <br /> NER TOWNSEND, ET UX, TO WILLIAM A. WYATT DATED MAY 17, <br /> 1922 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 83, PAGE 309 OF THE HAYS <br /> COUNTY DEED RECORDS A/K/A 1710 AND 1706 RANCH ROAD <br /> TWELVE, RESPECTIVELY, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWEL- <br /> LING DISTRICT) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT). <br /> Mr. Coddington moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading and <br /> Mayor Craddock seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington discussed the <br /> possibility of pyramid zoning on this property if commercial zoning <br /> was approved. Mr. Hankins advised for this particular piece of pro- <br /> perty the City could prohibit pyramid zoning from occurring because <br /> of the Master Plan land use map. The new zoning ordinance that will <br /> come before the Council for first reading on June 11 will do away with <br /> pyramid zoning in this City. The Council voted unanimous approval of <br /> the Ordinance on second reading. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br /> on third and final reading, which was removed from the consensus agenda, <br /> the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN FOR SAID <br /> CITY ADOPTED ON MAY 9, 1983 TO CHANGE THE LAND USE <br /> DESIGNATION OF AN 0.699 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED <br /> IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO. 2 IN SAID CITY FROM <br /> HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL LAND USE TO COMMERCIAL LAND <br /> USE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Ms. Kissler moved this Ordinance be tabled until the first Regular <br /> Meeting in July (July 9)and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. The Council <br /> had discussed in the June 7 Workshop at 6:30 p.m. that this approval <br /> would be "spot" changing the land use map. The Staff is to make a <br /> recommendation for the entire vicinity of this request and make a <br /> recommendation to the Council on July 9. The Council voted unani- <br /> mously to table approval on second reading until July 9. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />
