<br />Council approval of subdivision plats after their approval by the <br />Planning Commission, made and certified to by the City Secretary <br />of the City of San Marcos, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, be, and the same is hereby, adopted as the <br />official tabulation of the votes cast at said election and that <br />said tabulation be filed and recorded in the official records of <br />the City of San Marcos as the official canvass of said election. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That the said official canvass of the returns <br />of said election reflects the following: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />That the official canvass of the returns of said <br />election reflects that the following person was duly <br />elected Mayor of the city of San Marcos: <br /> <br />Kathy Morris <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />That the official canvass of the returns of said <br />election reflects that the following person was duly <br />elected City Council Member, Place Five, of the city of <br />San Marcos: <br /> <br />Billy G. Moore <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />That the official canvass of the returns of said <br />election reflects that the following person was duly <br />elected City Council Member, Place Six, of the City of <br />San Marcos: <br /> <br />William H. Plummer, Jr. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />That the official canvass of the returns of said <br />election reflects the following votes cast for and <br />against the propositions to amend the Charter of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas: <br /> <br />Proposition No.1 <br /> <br />Amending Section 2.03 of the City Charter to require <br />compliance with applicable state annexation laws. <br /> <br />Votes for Proposition No.1: 1430 <br />Votes against Proposition No.1: 307 <br /> <br />Proposition No.2 <br /> <br />Amend the City Charter by deleting Section 3.02 (a) (3) <br />which requires that a City Council member must be up to <br />date in the payment of taxes and other liabilities due <br />the City. <br /> <br />Votes for Proposition No.2: 923 <br />Votes against Proposition No.2.: <br /> <br />894 <br /> <br />Proposition No.3 <br /> <br />Amend section 3.02(a) (4) of the city Charter to provide <br />that City Council Members may serve as Council <br />Representatives to various groups. <br /> <br />Votes for Proposition No.3: 1059 <br />Votes against Proposition No.3: 712 <br /> <br />Proposition No.4 <br /> <br />Amend section 3.02(a) (5) of the city Charter to <br />establish and clarify the meaning of "Public Service <br />Company." <br /> <br />Votes for Proposition No.4: 1432 <br />Votes against proposition No.4: 285 <br />
