<br />construction shall not be modified or extended after the construction <br /> <br />contract documents have been authorized by Owner <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />competitively <br /> <br />bid without written consent of the Owner and the Engineer and with <br /> <br />notice to the Contractor. <br /> <br />1. 5 . 14 <br /> <br />The Engineer shall prepare and submit to the Owner a set of <br /> <br />reproducible record drawings showing significant changes in the Work <br /> <br />made during the construction phase. <br /> <br />1. 5.15 <br /> <br />In the event of any arbitration proceeding as provided in the <br /> <br />construction contract documents, <br /> <br />the Engineer may be made <br /> <br />a party <br /> <br />thereto at the request of either Owner or Contractor. <br /> <br />1.6 <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />For the purposes of this Contract, <br /> <br />additional services will be <br /> <br />considered to be all services not included in the basic contracted <br /> <br />services as identified in Article 1, excluding Sections 1.6 and <br />1.7 and those, if any, identified in Article 14 of this Contract. <br /> <br />Additional services shall be provided if authorized or confirmed <br /> <br />in writing by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Owner <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />provided <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Agreement, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />compensation shall be in addition to that specified for basic <br /> <br />services. <br /> <br />Compensation <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />additional <br /> <br />services <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance wi th Section <br /> <br />13.2.1 <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />this Agreement. <br /> <br />Additional <br /> <br />services <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />include <br /> <br />but <br /> <br />not <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />limited <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />following <br /> <br />potential work items. <br /> <br />1.6.1 <br /> <br />Making revisions in plans, specifications or other documents <br /> <br />when <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />revisions <br /> <br />are <br /> <br />inconsistent <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />written <br /> <br />approvals <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />instructions previously given or are due to <br /> <br />other <br /> <br />causes <br /> <br />not <br /> <br />solely <br /> <br />within the control of the Engineer. <br /> <br />1.6.2 <br /> <br />Additional <br /> <br />copies <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />construction <br /> <br />contract <br /> <br />drawings, <br /> <br />specifications, <br /> <br />and other construction contract documents other than <br /> <br />those <br /> <br />provided <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />in paragraph <br /> <br />1.3.1 hereof <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />part <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Basic <br /> <br />Services. <br /> <br />L.6.3 <br /> <br />Preparation of applications for the necessary highway and <br /> <br />railroad <br /> <br />right-of-way <br /> <br />permits <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />highway <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />railroad <br /> <br />crossing <br /> <br />permits. <br /> <br />-8- <br />
