<br />171 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1988-76R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, SELECTING AN ARCHITECTURAL AND <br />ENGINEERING CONSULTANT TO DEVELOP DESIGNS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR FACILITIES TO BE USED BY THE GARY <br />JOB CORPS CENTER NEAR THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, <br />AUTHORIZING THE NEGOTIATION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SAID <br />CONSULTANT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on April 25,1988, approved a Resolution <br />authorizing the City Manager to seek requests for qualifications from <br />interested architectural and engineering firms for the purpose of <br />designing replacement facilities for Gary Job Corps Center pursuant to <br />a land trans fer between the Gary Job Corps Ceo ter and the Ci ty of San <br />Marcos, involving both the Federal Aviation Administration and the <br />Department of Labor; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, interested design professionals have submitted their <br />qualifications to the City and their qualifications have been reviewed <br />by the Airport Commission; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Airport Commission and the City Manager have made <br />recommendations to the City Council concerning the selection of a <br />design professional consultant for this project; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />IT <br /> <br />RESOLVED <br /> <br />BY <br /> <br />THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> <br />PART 1. That Charles Willis and Associates, Inc. is <br />hereby selected as the design professional consultant to design <br />replacement facilities for Gary Job Corps Center pursuant to a land <br />transfer between the Gary Job Corps Center and the City of San Marcos <br />involving the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of <br />Labor. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the City Manager and the City Attorney, or their <br />designees, are directed to negotiate an agreement with the <br />above-named design professional to prepare designs and <br />specifications for this project. <br /> <br />PART 3.
