<br />27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1988-89R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br />A LETTER AGREEMENT WITH AQUARENA SPRINGS <br />CORPORATION FOR THE OPERATION OF ITS GOLF <br />COURSE AS A PUBLIC GOLF COURSE FOR AND IN <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE PROVISION OF WATER <br />TO AQUARENA SPRINGS GOLF COURSE AT NO <br />CHARGE BY THE CITY, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON <br />BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND ESTABLISHING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Aquarena Springs Corporation has previously <br />made a portion of its property available to the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, for use as a municipal golf course; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said city desires that Aquarena Springs Golf <br />Course continue operating as a public golf course; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is willing to provide water at no cost <br />to Aquarena Springs Golf Course in return for the golf course <br />being operated as a public golf course; now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the letter agreement between the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, and Aquarena Springs Corporation for <br />operation of a public golf course, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and <br />purposes, be and the same is he~eby approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the Mayor, Kathy M. Morris be and she is <br />hereby authorized to execute said letter agreement on behalf <br />of said City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
