30 MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 12, 1984 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Bill Coddington Gerald G. Farr Fred Guerra * Betty Jane Kissler * Jaime Moore City Manager A. C. Gonzalez City Secretary Janis K. Womack City Attorney Lamar W. Hankins Also Present: Terry Colley. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 5:20 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCO S, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT OF LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND MILLER AND MILLER AUCTIONEERS, FOR A PORTION OF SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING AN AUCTION OF HEAVY EQUIP- MENT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT OF LEASE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Coddington se- conded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Coddington, Farr, Craddock. NAY: Guerra. ABSTAIN: None. Mr. Coddington moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, §2 (e), V.A.C.S., to discuss a matter where the duty of a public body's counsel to his client pursuant to the Code of Profes- sional Responsibility clearly conflicts with this Article. Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (5:27 p.m.). Mr. Brown moved the Council convene at 6:00 p.m. and Mr. Guerra second- ed the motion, which passed unanimously.
