62 RESOLUTION 1988-97R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000.00 FOR THE DESIGN OF FUNCTIONAL REPLACEMENT FACILITIES AT GARY JOB CORPS CENTER, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS FROM THE U. S. FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION AND THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID GRANT AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS INCIDENT THERETO ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has submitted to the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) an application for Federal Assistance for a grant of federal funds for development of the San Marcos Municipal Airport; and, WHEREAS, the FAA has approved a project for development of said airport which consists of design services for functional replacement facilities at Gary Job Corps Center, San Marcos, Texas to effectuate a land transfer from Gary Job Corps Center to said City; and, WHEREAS, the FAA has offered and agreed to pay as its share of the allowable costs incurred in accomplishing said project, ninety percent of all allowable project costs up to $250,000.00; and, WHEREAS, said offer must be accepted by the City of San Marcos, Texas, on or before September 30, 1988; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the City of San Marcos, Texas, hereby accepts the offer of the FAA to provide federal assistance grant monies up to $250,000.00 for design services in connection with functional replacement facilities for Gary Job Corps Center, San Marcos, Texas to effectuate a land transfer from Gary Job Corps Center to said City. PART 2. That the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Larry Gilley is hereby authorized to execute the grant agreement for development of the project on behalf of said City, said grant agreement being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes as Exhibit A. PART 3. That said City Manager is further authorized to ratify and adopt said City's application for financial assistance which is attached to Exhibit A and made a part thereof. PART 4. That the Mayor, Kathy M. Morris, be and she is hereby authorized to execute said grant agreement on behalf of said City. PART 3.
