<br />AftI CLB 5 <br /> <br />PA'YJmJn:'S m mE HI ~H I T~-.r <br /> <br />5.1 <br /> <br />PAYJmr~"S OR ACCOUJI".r OF BASIC SERVICES <br /> <br />5.1.1 <br /> <br />Payment's <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Basic <br /> <br />Services <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />made <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />ARCHITECT <br /> <br />monthly following receipt by CITY of ARCHITECT's invoice therefor, and <br /> <br />shall be paid only upon the completion of the Basic Services Phase and <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />set <br /> <br />forth <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />Article <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />less <br /> <br />any <br /> <br />disputed <br /> <br />amounts, <br /> <br />pending <br /> <br />resolution thereof. <br /> <br />However, the total of such payments for each phase <br /> <br />of Basic Services shall not exceed the amounts set forth in Article 13 <br /> <br />for each of the phases of Basic Services. <br /> <br />5.2 <br /> <br />PADusJr.í'S 011 ACCOOft OF ADDI'l'IOIIAL SERVICES <br /> <br />5.2.1 <br /> <br />Payments on account of the ARCHITECT's Additional Services as <br /> <br />defined in Paragraph 1.6 and for Reimbursable Expenses as defined in <br />Article 4 shall be made monthly upon presentation of the ARCHITECT's <br /> <br />statement of services rendered or expenses incurred, less any disputed <br />amounts, pending resolution thereof. <br /> <br />5.3 <br />5.3.1 <br /> <br />PROJBC8.r ( S ) SUSPERSIOB OR '.fBlUIDIA-.rIOR <br /> <br />If the Project(s) is suspended or abandoned in whole or in <br /> <br />part for more than six (6) months, the ARCHITECT shall be compensated <br />for all services performed prior to receipt of written notice from the <br /> <br />CITY of such suspension or abandonment. <br /> <br />If <br /> <br />the Project(s) is then <br /> <br />resumed <br /> <br />after being <br /> <br />suspended <br /> <br />for more <br /> <br />than <br /> <br />six <br /> <br />(6) <br /> <br />months, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />ARCHITECT's compensation shall be subject to renegotiation. <br /> <br />AftICLB 6 <br /> <br />ARCH.1. TI$~ . S ACCOOftDIG RECORDS <br /> <br />6.1 <br /> <br />All <br /> <br />expense <br /> <br />records <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />ARCHITECT <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />kept <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />recognized <br /> <br />accounting <br /> <br />basis <br /> <br />acceptable <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />CITY <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />available <br /> <br />to the CITY or the CITY's <br /> <br />authorized <br /> <br />representative <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />mutually convenient times. <br /> <br />6.2 <br /> <br />The Ci ty , <br /> <br />the FAA, <br /> <br />the Comptroller General of the United <br /> <br />States or any of their duly authorized representatives, <br /> <br />shall have <br /> <br />access to any books, documents, papers and records of the Engineer <br /> <br />which are directly pertinent to this project for the purpose of making <br /> <br />audit, examination, excepts, and transcriptions. <br /> <br />-14- <br />
