Sec. 3.02. - Qualifications. <br />(a) Each member of the city council, in addition to having other qualifications <br />prescribed by law: <br />(5) Shall not have a financial interest in the sale to the city of any land, <br />materials, supplies or service, outside of the person's position with the <br />city. <br />(6) Shall remain current on all financial obligations to the city relating to the <br />duties of the council member. <br />AMENDMENT NO. 11 <br />SHALL SECTION 3.02, SUBSECTION B, OF THE CITY CHARTER, RELATING TO THE <br />CITY COUNCIL'S AUTHORITY TO MAKE DETERMINATIONS REGARDING THE <br />QUALIFICATONS OF ITS MEMBERS, BE AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />(b) The city council shall be- determine that the qualifications of its own <br />members are continually met. If the council determines that any member of the <br />council has ceased to possess any of these qualifications or has been convicted of <br />a felony, that member shall immediately forfeit office. <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1.2 <br />SHALL SECTION 3.06 OF THE CITY CHARTER, RELATING TO THE CALLING OF A <br />SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE CITY COUNCIL, BE AMENDED <br />TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />Sec. 3.06. - Vacancies. <br />(a) A special election to fill a vacancy shall be called in accordance with state law. In <br />the event the mayor is unable to call a meeting to order the election for any reason, the <br />re members -of the eityeetineil mayor pro tern or deputy mayor rp o tem are <br />authorized and directed to call a meeting to order the election and perform all other <br />required actions incident to the election. In the event of vacancies in the offices of mayor <br />and all members of the city council for any reason, the following persons, in the order <br />prescribed, are authorized and directed to order the election and perform all other <br />required actions incident to the election: <br />(1) The city manager. <br />(2) The city clerk. <br />(3) The city attorney. <br />(4) The presiding judge of the municipal court. <br />10 <br />
