'i:::
Two sizes of magnetic based
slide holders provide com-
plete control over the relative
position of the subject and
background for the most
realistic and professional
results. A triple slide carrier
is available for rapid scene
changes.
The Scene Machine has been professionally designed and
engineered to mate with a special camera quality zoom lens. No
other projector allows the photographer to use a zoom lens with
a range from 35 to 70mm. Now you can do full length
photography with a projected background using a normal focal
length lens on the camera. (For example, 90mm on RB-67.)
A zoom lens is one of the most valuable features of a con-
temporary Front Projection system. You can proportion the
background image size to the size of the, subject and vary the
size and position of the slide for proper perspective. With these
controls your photographic creations will have a more exciting
and saleable result.
One slide can be used with a variety of camera lens focal
lengths or subject poses by altering the zoom length to change
the slide size, creating the proper size relationship with the
subject.
The Scene Machine features a direct fit to the Hasselblad and
RB or RZ-67 with a quick release mount. Other cameras may
need an accessory adapter. A revolving base is offered for 35mm,
Mamiya 645 and Bronica ETR. Tall cameras, such as 4 x 5 or
8 x 10 view cameras or long roll cameras can also be used with
the Scene Machine, even with swings and tilts.
A high intensity tungsten
light system is available for
use with video or motion pic-
ture cameras to create the
same exciting effects as used
in Hollywood. Only your im-
agination will limit applica-
tions.
"I'm delighted with my SCENE MACHINE. I've had front
projection for years but the SCENE MACHINE is so much
more versatile and easy to use. It's great!"
Ray Hebert-Winsdor, Canada
"I've been using the SCENE MACHINE in my studio for 3
years for everything we do. The results have been terrific ...
I'd be lost without it. Another SCENE MACHINE was one
of the first items we ordered when we started our second
studio. " Hal Jaffe-Memphis, Tennessee
"Without a doubt the SCENE MACHINE is the best and
easiest to use front projection system on the market. "
Wah Lui-Seattle, Washington
One of the most important
elements in successful Front
Projection is often the one
receiving the least attention
of the new user. Background
slides with a good tonal range
and color saturation are not
enough. Careful considera-
tion of the composition,
perspective and dimension of
the background is essential.
You can make your own with
your camera or purchase pre-
pared sets from EPS.
Select from the six sets of
slides made especially for
Front Projection by the EPS
staff. Two 35mm sets of 20
each; Two sets of 50 glass
mounted superslides in
albums; Two sets of 15 glass
mounted ''Old Masters"
type canvas background
slides and the new "Com-
puter Graphics" series. Each
set includes a wide variety of
images and have been used
successfully by photo-
graphers around the world.
EPS has a number of special
Front Projection related ac-
cessories including specially
designed umbrellas, light
control baffles, camera
stands, vignetting systems,
Lane Polaroid film backs and
many other products.
==1, '"
An exclusive built-in vignet-
ting system, part of the
shroud support, includes two
thumb-controlled knobs to
insert a variety of vignetting
cards. Vignetting cards are
provided with the Scene
Machine. You may also make
your own or purchase a varie-
ty of accessory cards.
Environmental Projection
Systems has earned the repu-
tation as the fabricator of the
finest projection screens
designed. Made with a
smooth one-piece, seamless,
plastic coated fiberglass
backing, the screens can be
rolled up and require no
stretching.

An exclusive floor panel
system, covered with 3M
7615 reflective sheeting, is
offered by EPS to enable the
photographer to create a full-
length projected background
- the subject stands right in
the scene! Panels are 2 feet
wide in 8 or 10 foot lengths.
EPS stocks used Front Pro-
jection equipment by Nordic,
Hensel, Nord, Laney, Lumi-
Tek, H&H, Background 35
and others. A selection of us-
ed screens are also available.
"The SCENE MACHINE has brought new life to my studio.
My competitors cannot match the award winning work I am
able to do. " Stanley Burgin-Mansfield, England
"The SCENE MACHINE is the best thing in portrait
photography since colour! I have a new sense of creativity. "
John Cook-Melbourne, Australia
"It's terrific. The SCENE MACHINE enables me to produce
work that cannot be done any other way. My customers
love it...and so do I. " Ron Bisset-Timaru, New Zealand
"The SCENE MACHINE is the most exciting thing I have
ever done in photography. It changes my whole view of
photography. " Ricardo Reyes-Des Moines, Iowa
