<br />FAIR HOUSING ACTIVITIES <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos passed a Fair Housing Ordinance on April 26, 1976. <br />As a result, a Fair Housing Commission was established by the City to accept <br />notification and referral of complaints of alleged discriminatory housing <br />practices. <br /> <br />A Community Housing Resource Board was established to monitor a voluntary <br />Fair Housing Marketing Agreement with the local Board of Realtors. <br /> <br />The City has, by proclamation, proclaimed April a Fair Housing Month in <br />San Marcos. <br /> <br />Teh Director of the San Marcos Housing Authority serves as secretary to the <br />Fair Housing Commission and is the Chairperson of the Communtiy Housing <br />Resource Board. The City supports the Housing Authority with an annual <br />budget line. <br /> <br />The Ctiy of San Marcos assures that it will affirmatively further fair <br />housing practices within the City in the years to come. <br />
