co ço \() ~ u CJ ORDINANCE 1988-76 14 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING EXHIBIT A ATTACHED TO THAT ORDINANCE ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 26, 1988, WHICH AMENDED CHAPTER 9 1/2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO INCREASE SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY TARIFFS, TO REFLECT RECENT RULINGS OF THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION CONCERNING THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE 138KV VOLTAGE CATEGORY AS "TRANSMISSION" AND THE DELETION OF SEASONAL CAPACITY CHARGES AND TO AMEND CERTAIN CLERICAL ERRORS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. SECTION 1. That Exhibi t A attached to that Ord inance adopted September 26, 1988 which amended Chapter 9 1/2 of the Code of Ordinances to increase San Marcos Electric Utility tariffs, is hereby amended as set forth in Exhibit 1 which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. SECTION 2. That Exhibit A attached to said Ordinance is further amended as set forth in Exhibi t 2 which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage be suspended, and these prov isions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City as provided by the City Charter of the City of San Marcos.
