Pressure Plane Boundaries The study area may be served by the existing upper and lower pressure plane water elevations along with a new pressure plane for the far western portion of the basin where the ground elevation is greater than 800 feet MSL (Figure 9). The new pressure plane will be called the upper upper pressure plane. The overflow elevation of elevated water storage for the upper upper pressure plane is 1050 feet MSL, the upper plane is 905 feet ~ISL, and the lower plane is 767 feet MSL. The upper upper pressure plane will easily serve an area elevation of 930 feet MSL to 800 feet MSL. The upper pressure plane will easily serve an area elevation of 800 feet MSL to 650 feet )tSL. The lower pressure plane .,vill easily serve an area elevation of 650 feet MSL to 500 feet MSL. The area above the 800 foot contour in the study area comprises the upper upper pressure plane. The study area west of Hunter Road and east of the 800 foot contour generally falls within the range for the upper plane. The remainder of the area is v.ithin the range for the lower plane (Figure 8). One exception is that the proposed system includes a line from the upper pressure plane along Center Point Road from east of Hunter Road to IH-35. This line will provide higher pressure water to the planned industrial and commercial facilities along IH-35 than a line would from the lower plane, however, the delivery pressures are still within the recommended linùts. B. Phasing of the System The proposed system is designed to be constructed in 3 separate phases (Figure 8). The first phase will involve only the Lowrnans' Ranch and Cottonwood Creek Park developments because only this area of the basin is expected to experience sufficient JONES ðE NEUSE 2~
