<br />-3- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, prior to the publication of notices of said hearings, <br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, directed preparation <br />of a service plan that provides for the extension of municipal services <br />to said area proposed for annexation; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said proposed service plan was made available for <br />inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to be annexed <br />at said public hearings; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said 196 acre tract is contiguous and adjacent to <br />the current boundaries of the City of San Marcos, Texas; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />IT <br /> <br />ORDAINED <br /> <br />BY <br /> <br />ruE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the following described property, being <br />196 acres of land adjoining the existing city limits of the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, situated on the Southeast side of River Road between <br />Highway 80 and the San Marcos River, Hays County, Texas, and being <br />more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the Southwest line of the City limits as <br />defined by Ordinance No. 1964-7 at the intersection of the <br />Northwest right-of-way line of River Road and the Southwest <br />right-of-way line of Texas State Highway No. 80. <br /> <br />Thence, with the Southwest line of the present City Limits as <br />defined by Ordinance No. 1964-7, crossing River Road in an <br />Easterly direction to the intersection of the Southeast line of <br />River Road with the South line of Texas State Highway No. 80, <br />same being the most Westerly Northwest corner of that 1.652 acre <br />tract of land retained by Bimms Investments as Tract B by deed <br />recorded in Volume 584, Page 501, Deed Records of Hays County, <br />Texas; <br /> <br />Thence, continuing with the Southwest line of said present City <br />Limits and the South and Southwest right-of-way line of said <br />Texas State Highway No. 80, in an Easterly and Southeasterly <br />direction to the East corner of said 1.652 acre tract, same <br />being a North corner of that 11.158 acre tract of land conveyed <br />to Clayton Enterprises, Inc. by deed recorded in Volume 584, <br />Page 501, Deed Records of Hays County, Texas; <br /> <br />Thence, continuing with said Southwest line of Highway 80 and <br />said present City Limits, and with the Northeast line of said <br />11.158 acre tract, in a Southeasterly direction, to the <br />center-line of the Blanco River, for the East corner of this <br />annexation, and the North corner of that 57.059 acre tract of <br />land conveyed to Sylong Lin, et al. by deed recorded in Volume <br />433, Page 361, Deed Records of Hays County, Texas; <br /> <br />THENCE, with the center of the Blanco River, same being the <br />Southeast line of said 11.158 acre tract, and the Northwest line <br />of said Lin tract in a Southwesterly direction to the South <br />corner of said 11.158 acre tract, same being the East corner of <br />that tract of land conveyed to Harry T. Bugge, Jr. by deed <br />recorded in Volume 271, Page 581, Deed Records of Hays County, <br />Texas; <br /> <br />Thence, continuing with the center of the Blanco River, and the <br />Northwest line of said Lin tract and with the Southeast line of <br />said Bugge tract, to the South corner of the said Bugge tract; <br /> <br />Thence, continuing with the center of the Blanco River, through <br />said Lin tract and with its Southeasterly line, in a generally <br />Southerly direction to the South corner of said Lin tract, same <br />being the East corner of that tract of land conveyed to Bodo C. <br />Konze by deed recorded in Volume 425, Page 386, Deed Records of <br />Hays County, Texas; <br /> <br />Thence, with the center of the Blanco River and the Southeast <br />line of said Konze tract, in a Southwesterly direction to the <br />North corner of that tract of land conveyed to Joe H. Wilson <br />
