SERVICE PLAN River Road Annexation Approximately 196 acres adjoining and extending southeast from the present City limits. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 10, Article 970a, V.A.C.S., there is hereby adopted the following plan of service: 1. Police Protection: Patrolling, response to calls and other routine police services using present personnel and equipment will be provided immediately on the effective date of annexation. 2. Fire Protection: Fire protection by the present personnel and equipment of the Fire Department, within the limitations of available water, will be provided immediately on the effective date of annexation. 3. Solid Waste Collection: Solid waste collection will be extended to residential areas immediately upon the effective date of annexation. Businesses and institutions must make arrangements with proviate haulers for solid waste disposal. 4. Water and Sewer Facilities: The policies and procedures now established and in force within the City limits will be followed in maintaining and expanding water and wastewater facilities. The annexation area is already included in the City's Master Plan for water and. wastewater distribution systems. The City's primary wastewater treatment plant is in fact located within the annexation area. 5. Maintenance of ~oads and Streets: The same standards and policies now established and in force within the City limits will be followed in maintaining and expanding the roads and streets in the annexed area. Improvement of River Road is scheduled for 1989 by the City's Capital Improvement Program. 6. Maintenance of Public Parks, Playgrounds, Swimming Pools, and any other Parks and Recreation department Facility or Building which may be dedicated to the public: The same standards and policies now estab~ished and in force within the City limits will be followed in maintaining and expanding public facilities.
