<br />98 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1988-139R <br /> <br />A RESOLU'l' ION OF THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN l"1ARCOS, TEXAS REVOKING THE <br />APPOINTNENT OF CHRIS ~vILLIAÌ"¡S AND DIANA <br />LOZANO AS DEPUTY CLERKS OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />MUNICIPAL COURT AND CONFIRMING THE <br />APPOIN'i'Ï"lENT OF ANGIE RODGERS AS DEPUTY <br />CLERK OF THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL COURT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 4.03(d) of the San Marcos City Charter <br />provides that deputy clerks of the San Harcos Hunìcipal Court <br />shall have the power to adm in i ster oaths and aff idav its, to make <br />certificates, to affix the seal of the court ancì to genera11y do <br />and per form any and a11 ac ts usual and necessary to be per formed <br />by the clerks of courts, in issuing process of said courts, and <br />conJucting the business thereof; and, <br /> <br />~'ÌHEREAS, Diana Lozano and Chr i s ~'Îì 11 iams, Deputy Clerks of <br />the Ì"lunicipal Court, are unable to continue to serve in such <br />capacity; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of San Marcos, Larry D. <br />Gilley, is of the opinion that the appointment of another clerk is <br />necessary to the efficient operation of said Court; and, <br /> <br />~;JHEREAS , sa id Ci ty ¡1anager has appo i n ted Ang ie Rodger s <br />Deputy Clerk of the Municipal Court of San Marcos, Texas; and, <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />hereby finds that Angie Rodgers is qualified for and ful1y capable <br />of fulfilling the duties of the position of Deputy ClerJç of the <br />Municipal Court of San Marcos, Texas; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the appointment of Chris í^Hlliams and Diana <br />Lozano as Deputy Clerks of the Municipal Court, is hereby revoked. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the appointment by the City Manager of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, of Angie Rodgers as Deputy Clerk of the San <br />~arcos Municipal Court, is hereby confirmed. <br /> <br />PART 3.
