<br />ARTICLE XII <br /> <br />AWARDING SALE OF THE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION AND <br />APPROVAL OF OFFICIAL STATEMENT <br /> <br />Section 12.01. Awarding Sale of the Certificates. <br /> <br />The Certificates are hereby officially sold and awarded to Uv.A~'" \10,)00 <!. <br />t-\.eu. ~u.3 ~ Co" \v.c....1 o.....,..J. ~.s:Oc.(Q..\.<.r , at a <br />price of par, plus accrued interest from the date of the Certificates to the Closing <br />Date, and a premium of $ -0- <br /> <br />Section 12.02. Aoproval of Official Statement. <br /> <br />The form and substance of the Official Statement for the Certificates and <br />any addenda, supplement or amendment thereto (the "Official Statement"), are <br />hereby in all respects approved and adopted by the City Council. Said Official <br />Statement as thus approved, executed and delivered, with such appropriate <br />variations as thus approved may be used by said purchasers in the public offering and <br />sale of the Certificates. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XIII <br />PUBLIC MEETING AND EMERGENCY DECLARATION <br /> <br />Section 13.01. Public Meeting. <br /> <br />It is officially found, determined, and declared that the meeting at which this <br />Ordinance has been adopted was open to the public and public notice of the time, <br />place and subject matter of the public business to be considered and acted upon at <br />said meeting, including this Ordinance, was given, all as required by the applicable <br />provisions of Article 6252-17, V.T.C.S., as amended. <br /> <br />Section 13.02. Emergency Declaration. <br /> <br />The public importance of this measure and the fact that it is to the best <br />interest of the City to provide funds for the proposed improvements at the earliest <br />possible date, for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, <br />constitutes and creates an emergency and an urgent public necessity requiring that <br />the Charter rule requiring ordinances to be read on three several days be dispensed <br />with for the purpose of adopting this Ordinance as an emergency measure; and said <br />Charter rule is hereby dispensed with and this Ordinance is accordingly passed as an <br />emergency measure, effective and in force immediately upon and after its passage. <br /> <br />1434f <br /> <br />-27- <br />
