<br /> 36 <br />Regular Meeting September 24, 1984 Page 7 <br />Mr. Coddington moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of award of <br />bid on airport improvements project. Mayor Craddock moved to award <br />bid to Olmos Construction Company for Alternate A in the amount <br />of $256,481.00 and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a discussion on the interim recommendations <br />of Freese and Nichols regarding the award of bid on the Main Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant/Lift Station. Ray Longoria reviewed with Council their <br />written recommendations and advised the Council that the City should <br />know by the end of the month (September) if the City would receive <br />any EPA funding on this project. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a discussion on the package treatment plants. <br />Ray Longoria stated excellent bids had been received for the equipment <br />portion of the treatment plants. Mr. Gonzalez advised the Council the <br />Staff needed to begin the process for the permitting of increased capa- <br />city, so that the City could construct package plants 4 and 5 in the <br />future. Ray Longoria advised the Council only a minimal amendment <br />to our permit would be required for approval of permitting for a third <br />package treatment plant. Mayor Craddock agreed the City needed to begin <br />the process for permitting of the plants. It was consensus of Council <br />to give Mr. Gonzalez direction to proceed with the permitting process <br />requirements.
