74 RESOLUTION 1987-7R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, RATIFYING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY OF AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OF THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR A CRIME PREVENTION COORDINATOR/CRIME PREVENTION OFFICER, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $45,560.00, AND, DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, wishes to apply for assistance from the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office for a Crime Prevention Coordinator/Crime Prevention Officer; and WHEREAS, the City is willing to participate in the funding for said Crime Prevention Coordinator/Crime Prevention Officer in the total amount of $45,560.00; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the execution by the City Manager for the City of San Marcos, Texas, of an application to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office for assistance for a Crime Prevention Coordinator/Crime Prevention Officer for said City, a copy of said application being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, is hereby approved and ratified. PART 2. That the expenditure of $45,560.00 is hereby authorized if said application is approved by the said Criminal Justice Division. PART 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any other documents or instruments necessary to fully implement this grant. PART 4.
