Using credible <br />informants will increase the number of arrests made in the drug trafficking <br />area. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />APPROACH. <br /> <br />a. Statement of Tasks Involved: <br /> <br />The program will fund two police officers and minimal equipment, operating <br />supplies, and expenses. The project director will select and assign the <br />officers to the respective areas of the project at the project start-up <br />date. Based on the availability of DPS scheduled courses, both officers <br />will attend a 16 hour narcotics investigation school as soon after the <br />project start-up date as possible. <br /> <br />The officers will immediately begin narcotics investigations to detect, <br />identify, and arrest drug offenders. In addition, the officers will <br />cultivate and utilize informants to assist in these investigations. <br /> <br />b.
