<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1987-26 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE ~mICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, <br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY <br />ZONING BLOCK 1, LOTS 6 AND 7 OF JOHN SCOTT'S SUBDIVISION <br />OF HIS PART OF FARM LOT #15 IN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AS <br />RECORDED IN VOLUME R, PAGE 255 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED <br />RECORDS; LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE 200 BLOCK OF <br />SCOTT STREET FROM "MF-4 II (MU LTI-FAMI LY RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT-HIGH DENSITY) TO "MF-l (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT-LOW DENSITY); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />59 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on December 2, 1986, the Zoning Commission of the City <br />of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change <br />the zoning from "MF-4" (Multi-Family Residential District-High <br />Density) to "MF-l" (Multi-Family Residential District-Low Density) of <br />Block 1, Lots 6 and 7 of John Scott's Subdivision of his part of <br />Farm Lot #15 to the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said <br />Commission did, on December 2, 1986, consider said request <br />and voted to approve the same and has recommended that such request <br />be approved by the City Council of said City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on the <br />of February, 1987, regarding such request; and, <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />day <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning <br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos <br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public <br />health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />SAN <br /> <br />MARCOS, <br /> <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the following described tract of real property <br />located in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently <br />"MF-4" (Multi-Family Residential District) be rezoned "MF-l" <br />(Multi-Family Residential District): <br /> <br />BLOCK 1, LOTS 6 AND 7 OF JOHN SCOTT'S SUBDIVISION OF HIS PART <br />OF FARM LOT #15 IN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME <br />R, PAGE 255 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days <br />from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting following <br />its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote to reconsider <br />it. If reconsidered on March 9, 1987, it shall be in effect ten <br />days from and after its passage on that date if approved. It shall not <br />go into effect if denied.
