<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH
<br />REGU LATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUI LDINGS,
<br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY
<br />ZONING LOT 15, A.M. RAMSEY SUBDIVISION OF 32 1/2 ACRES
<br />OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS
<br />AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 89, PAGE 479 OF THE HAYS COUNTY
<br />DEED RECORDS~ A/K/A 218 MILL STREET FROM "Mil (SINGLE,
<br />DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESSES DISTRICT) TO "R-llI
<br />SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT-LOW DENSITY)~ AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />WHEREAS, on January 6, 1987, the Zoning Commission of the City
<br />of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br />the zoning from "Mil (Single, Duplex and Neighborhood Business
<br />District) to "R-l" (Single Family Dwelling District-Low Density) of
<br />Lot 15, A.M. Ramsey Subdivision of 32 1/2 acres out of the J.M.
<br />Veramendi League No.2 to the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas~
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said
<br />Commission did, on January 6, 1987, consider said request
<br />and voted to approve the same and has recommended that such request
<br />be approved by the City Council of said City; and,
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on the
<br />March, 1987, regarding such request; and,
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public
<br />health, morals, welfare and safety~ now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

<br />SAN

<br />MARCOS,
<br />
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the following described tract of real property
<br />located in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently
<br />zoned "M" (Single, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District) be
<br />rezoned IIR-l" (Single Family Dwelling District-Low Density):
<br />
<br />LOT 15, A.M. RM1SEY SUBDIVISION OF 32 1/2 ACRES OUT OF THE J.M.
<br />VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS AS RECORDED IN
<br />VOLUME 89, PAGE 479 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days
<br />from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting following
<br />its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote to reconsider
<br />it. If reconsidered on March 23, 1987, it shall be in effect ten
<br />days from and after its passage on that date if approved. It shall not
<br />go into effect if denied. If not reconsidered or if reconsidered and
<br />approved it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in
<br />the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.

<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9 day of March, 1987,
<br />subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting
<br />scheduled for March 23, 1987
