<br />Chapter 2 <br /> <br />Sector Six Today <br /> <br />Right-of-Way <br />Approximately 15% of the acreage in Sector Six is used for right-of-ways. Right-of-way <br />includes streets and railroads. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Open Space/Floodway <br />Approximately 7% of the acreage in Sector Six is designated open space/floodway. The <br />open space/floodway designation includes parks and floodways. Parks in Sector Six <br />include Stokes Park along the San Marcos River on Cape Road and the San Marcos <br />Softball and Soccer Complex on State Highway 21, Floodway in Sector Six includes the <br />floodway along the San Marcos River, Blanco River, and Bypass Creek. <br /> <br />Single Family <br />Approximately 3% of the acreage in Sector Six is single family land use. Single family <br />includes one single family dwelling unit per lot. Most single family homes are located in <br />the Blanco Gardens, Two Rivers East, and Fairlawn neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Multifamily <br />Approximately 3% of the acreage in Sector Six is multifamily land use, which is more <br />than four dwelling units on one lot. The largest multifamily projects in Sector Six include <br />River Oaks Villas, Country Oaks, Village on the River, Autumn Chase, Clarewood, <br />Colony Square Condominiums, C.M. Allen Public Housing, Ashley Oaks, and <br />Townwood. <br /> <br />Commercial <br />Approximately 3% of the acreage in Sector Six is commercial land use, which includes <br />retail and office uses. The majority of commercial establishments in Sector Six are <br />located along IH-35 and State Highway 80. The three largest retail centers are San <br />Marcos Place, San Mar Plaza, and Wal-mart Supercenter. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />, ,Jndustrial. <br />Approximately 2% of the acreage in Sector Six is industrial land use. The largest <br />industrial establishments in Sector Six are CF AN and Rohr San Marcos, located in the <br />San Marcos Technology Park, along lli-35. <br /> <br />Mobile Home <br />Approximately 1 % of the acreage in Sector Six is mobile home land use. There are <br />mobile homes located on Harper Drive and in various mobile home parks. The largest <br />mobile home parks are San Marcos, Lakeview, and Schawe. <br /> <br />Duplex <br />Less than 1 % of the acreage in Sector Six is duplex land use.
