<br />76. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-121L- R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATES FOR <br />APPOINTMENT TO COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF <br />CITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to have direct <br />representation before the National League of Cities through membership by City Council Members on the <br />Committees of the National League of Cities. <br /> <br />2. The City Council wishes to nominate persons to serve on the Committees of the National League of <br /> <br />Cities. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOL YED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />P ART 1. The following City Council Member( s) is/are nominated for appointment to the following <br />committee(s) of the National League of Cities: <br /> <br />Council Member <br />Susan Narvaiz <br /> <br />Committee <br /> <br />Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations <br />(FAIR) Policy and Advocacy <br /> <br />PART 2. The support ofthe Texas Municipal League is sought for the appointment of Susan Narvaiz <br />to the FAIR Policy and Advocacy Committee and for election as chair or vice-chair of that Committee. <br /> <br />P ART 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas Municipal League by October 1, <br />2005, and to the National League of Cities in order that it be.received on or before November 14, 2005. <br /> <br />PART 4.
