<br /> 99 <br /> RESOLUTION 1998- 62 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR AN <br /> APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br /> COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX <br /> CREDITS TO BE SUBMITTED BY LEAH PLACE, L.L.P.; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City Council believes there is a need for affordable housing units for families <br /> in the City. <br /> 2. Leah Place, L.L.P., a limited liability partnership consisting of Southside <br /> Community Center, Inc., the Jackson Economic Development Corporation and Winston <br /> Sullivan, each as a General Partner, informed the City of its intent to submit an application <br /> to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (the "Staten) for low income <br /> housing tax credits, and has requested a statement of support for this application from the <br /> City Council. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The City Council supports the application for low income housing tax <br /> credits to be submitted to the State by Leah Place, L.L.P., for a development to be located <br /> on Tract Two (2), of the Meadows of Mockingbird Hill, a subdivision in the City of San <br /> Marcos, Hays County, Texas. <br /> PART 2.
