City Land Development Code. I 8. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land Development Code pertaining to Zoning Map amendments and amendments to the Future Land Use Map have been met, to the extent these requirements were not superseded by the Notice Ordinance. 9. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The above Recitals are found to be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety. SECTION 2. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 4.1.2.2 of the City Land Development Code, is amended by rezoning and converting all tracts of property presently shown on that map as "R-l" Single Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "SF-6" Single-Family District. SECTION 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this I ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. SECTION 4. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance commits a misdemeanor and is subject to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City Code upon conviction. SECTION 5. This Ordinance will take effect ten days after the date of its final passage, and the City Clerk will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
