I "_ l AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE TO RESTRICT WEST HUTCHISON STREET FROM GUADALUPE TO MOORE STREET AS A TWO HOUR PARKING ZONE MONDAY TO FRIDAY FROM 8:00 A.M TO 5:00 P.M.; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENAL TIES. " '..J L_ RECITALS: 1. The Traffic Register, required by Section 82.067 of the City Code of Ordinances, needs to be amended to restrict parking to two hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on West Hutchison between Guadalupe and Moore Street. 2. The Parking Advisory Board unanimously recommended this change at its April 12, 2006 meeting. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 82.160 of the City of San Marcos Code of Ordinances, the Traffic Register is amended to restrict parking to two hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on West Hutchison between Guadalupe and Moore Street and to place attendant signage stating "Two Hour Parking Mon.- Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.." SECTION 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance commits a misdemeanor and is subject to the penalty as provided by Chapter 82 of the San Marcos City Code of Ordinances. SECTION 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. SECTION 4. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed.
