IMPOUNDMENT OF ILL, INJURED, OR NEGLECTED <br /> ANIMALS; AND, DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Chapter 3 of the San Marcos Code of <br /> Ordinances is hereby amended by the addition of Section 3-52 as <br /> follows: <br /> Sec. 3-52. Dnpoundment of ill, injured or neglected <br /> animals. <br /> Upon complaint of a citizen or observation by any <br /> animal control officer, any animal control officer has <br /> the right to enter onto private property to inspect any <br /> animal reasonably believed to be ill, injured or <br /> neglected and to impound any animal determined by an <br /> officer to be ill, injured, or neglected. <br /> SECTION 2.
