Section 4-1.5 . . . the operator or owner of a nonconform- <br /> ing off-premise advertising sign shall pay afi-afifi~a~ a one-time in- <br /> spection fee of $20.00 at the time of registration. Failure to <br /> register a nonconforming off-premise sign, or failure to pay the <br /> afifi~a~ inspection fee . . . (deletion of "an annual" and "annual" <br /> and addition of underscored wording) and Mayor Craddock seconded <br /> the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Coddington moved to amend <br /> Page 20, Section 4-4.4. CHANGEABLE COpy SIGNS shall function only as <br /> bulletin board, community information, or business signs. B:i:~~ßearð8 <br /> Off-Premise signs are not changeable copy signs. (deletion of "bill- <br /> boards", addition of underscored wording) and Mr. Farr seconded the <br /> motion, which passed unanimously. The Council directed typographical <br /> error corrections on Page 24, Section 4-5.6 change ZBOAA to Zoning Board <br /> of Adjustments and 6.a. Subsections band e g of Section 40 be made. <br /> Ms. Kissler moved to amend Page 17, Section 4.1.1 Restructuring. . . <br /> new structure no larger than the existing sign face or 480 square <br /> feet, whichever is smaller: and the height of such restructured sign <br /> shall be in compliance with height limitations set out in Subsection <br /> 4 1.4 below. Mr. Coddington seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br /> mously. On roll call for approval of the Ordinance on first reading, <br /> the Council unanimously approved the Ordinance. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval <br /> of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX G, HISTORICAL ZON- <br /> ING ORDINANCE BY ADDING THE DOWNTOWN HISTORICAL DIS- <br /> TRICT: AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br /> to speak in favor or in opposition to the amendment. No one wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the amendment, so Mayor Craddock <br /> closed the public hearing. Mayor Craddock moved for approval of the <br /> Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which <br /> ~assed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval <br /> of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCO S, TEXAS, ADOPTING A NEW CHAPTER TO BE ADDED <br /> TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> TO BE ENTITLED, "NOISE ORDINANCE" i PROVIDING FOR THE <br /> CONTROL OF NOISE.
