<br />SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br />ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES <br /> <br />MEDIUM GENERAL SERVICE <br />Rate Schedule - MGS <br /> <br />Effective February 1, 2005 <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos (the "City") shall charge and collect for medium general service electric service on the basis of <br />this Rate Schedule - MGS The Power Cost Adjustment Clause and the City of San Marcos Electric Utility Rules and <br />Regulations are incorporated by reference as a part of this rate schedule <br /> <br />AVAILABILITY <br /> <br />This rate schedule is available throughout the entire territory served by the San Marcos Electric Utility System (the "City <br />System") <br /> <br />APPLICABILITY <br /> <br />This rate schedule is applicable to all electric service required by Customer for lighting, power and any other purpose, <br />other than residential service as defined in Rate Schedule - RS, where the Customer's maximum metered kW demand is <br />greater than 50 kW but less than 500 kW and for which no specific rate schedule is available If the maximum metered kW <br />demand is 500 0 kW or greater for any two months during any twelve month period, the City will transfer the Customer to <br />the then applicable large general service rate schedule <br /> <br />This rate schedule is also applicable, at the City's option, to qualified Customers who require substantial portions of their <br />ectric power during the Off-Peak hours, as defined hereinafter Prior to a Customer receiving service at the rates for <br />me Differentiated Service of this rate schedule, the City will investigate the Customer's load characteristics in order to <br />3termine if the rates for Time Differentiated Service may be advantageous to both the Customer and the City If the City <br />determines the Customer is qualified, special metering equipment will be installed to measure the Customer's On-Peak <br />and Off-Peak period kW demands and the Customer will be required to execute a contract for Time Differentiated Service <br />for a minimum term of 24 months <br /> <br />CHARACTER OF SERVICE <br /> <br />Service under this rate schedule shall be alternating current, 60 Hertz, single phase, at the City's option of the standard <br />voltages available from the City System The City may, at its option, provide three phase service when individual motors <br />rated at 5 0 horsepower or larger are connected to the City System Standby or resale service is not permitted under this <br />rate schedule <br /> <br />BILLING PERIODS <br /> <br />For the purpose of the Time Differentiated Service of this rate schedule, On-Peak Periods shall be from 7 01 AM to 8 00 <br />PM Monday through Friday All other hours shall be designated as Off-Peak hours <br /> <br />MONTHLY RATE <br /> <br />Regular Service <br /> <br />Customer Charge (Single or Three Phase) <br />Energy Charge (All Metered kWh) <br />Demand Charge (All Billing kW) <br /> <br />$45 00 per month <br />$0 03740 per kWh <br />$8 90 per Billing kW <br /> <br />Page 5 <br />
