<br />Chapter 1 Development Procedures - A rtide 3 Universal Procedures <br /> <br />(d) Initiation of Amendments. Unless otherwise limited by this Land Development Code, <br />a petition for amending the text of the Land Development Code may be initiated by <br />the City Council, the Planning and Zoning Commission, a board, commission or <br />advisory body described in Chapter I, Article 2, an ad hoc advisory body appointed <br />by the Council, a responsible official designated in this Code, any citizen or owner of <br />land within the City limits, or any citizen or owner of land within the City's <br />extraterritorial jurisdiction (for a regulation that applies to the ETJ). <br /> <br />(1) Except for amendments initiated by the City Council, the petition to amend <br />the text of this Land Development Code shall state with particularity the <br />nature of the amendment and the reason for the amendment. <br /> <br />(2) A petition for a text amendment may be submitted in conjunction with a <br />development application, approval of which depends on approval of the <br />amendment, but shall in every such instance be decided prior to any action by <br />the City on the development application. <br /> <br />(3) The City Council may establish rules governing times for submission and <br />consideration of text amendments. <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas <br /> <br />1-40 <br /> <br />Land Development Code - Final <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />It <br /> <br />, <br />
