BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, I TEXAS: , SECTION 1. That Section 2.484 of the San Marcos City Code is amended to read as follows: Sec. 2.484. Fees for public information. Fees for access to and copies of public information of the City are set by the City council. A schedule of these fees will be made available to the public in the City Secretary's offices. SECTION 2. The Public Information Fee Schedule attached to this ordinance will I.. be used to determine fees for access to and copies of public information of the City. When I necessary to supplement the schedule, the cost regulations of the Texas General Services Commission, as amended, will be used to determine the cost of providing access to and copies of public information of the City. SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. SECTION 4. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance commits a misdemeanor and is subject to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City Code upon conviction. SECTION 5. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. SECTION 6. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, and the City Secretary will be publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
