Our firm has <br /> successfully utilized interns in the past in other cities. We have found this is a sound <br /> alternative as it minimizes the cost of implementation. Below is a summary of our cost <br /> estimates for the various phases of the project utilizing the interns. <br /> Phase ~ <br /> Management Communication and Interviews 850 <br /> General Communication 1,800 <br /> Job Descriptions 3,200 <br /> Job Evaluation 4,400 <br /> Salary Survey 850 <br /> Salary Structure, Budgets & Plans 3,200 <br /> Performance Appraisal Criteria 4,250 <br /> Training* 1,700 <br /> Salary Administration Guidelines <br /> and Personnel Policy Review 2.000 <br /> Total Fees** $22,250 <br /> *Sufficient training will be provided so that City staff are fully self-sufficient in <br /> program operation. Training is also provided in performance appraisal system <br /> administra tion. <br /> **Out of Pocket Expenses such as travel, training material, etc. will be billed at <br /> cost. If the City desires to place a "not to exceed clause" for travel and related <br /> expenses, this will be provided at your request. <br /> OPTION <br /> Personnel Administration Training $ 3.400 <br /> <br /> Total Including option** $ 25,650 <br /> This proposal involves the Personnel Department interns in the job <br /> description and salary survey.
