A. For identifying for the Owner all subsurface investigations, including borings, test pits, soil investigations, soil resistivity surveys; and other subsurface exploration necessary for accurate design of the project(s), the Engineer shall receive no compensation. B. For the review of ingress and egress associated with the soils investigations; review of any proposals associated with the soils investigation; monitoring and reviewing the work of testing laboratories and inspection bureaus associated with the soils investigation; any other work associated with the soils investigation not defined hereinabove; any other work as requested by the Owner, the Engineer shall be compensated for the work on the standard cost times multiplier basis as shown in Exhibit A, Schedule of Charges. The Engineer may submit monthly requests or billings for partial payment based on the amount of work completed. Said requests or billings shall be itemized on the basis of hours expended by position and shall include all other pertinent information. Payment shall become due and payable within thirty (30) days from receipt. 5.7 ADDITIONAL SERVICES 5.7.1 For Additional Services rendered as described in Section 1.5, the Engineer shall be compensated for the work on the standard cost times multiplier basis as shown in Exhibit A, Schedule of Charges. Payment shall become due and payable within thirty (30) days from receipt. 5.8 PROJECT ( S) SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION 5.8.1 If the project(s) is suspended or abandoned in whole or in part for more than three (3) months, the Engineer shall be compensated for all services performed prior to receipt of written notice from the Owner of such suspension or abandonment.
