Mr. Coddington moved to amend the Resolution
to state the term of the agreement will be ten days, from April 10,
1986 through April 20, 1986 and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which
passed unanimously. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Resolution in PART l.
to insert the date of April 10, 1986 and Mr. Coddington seconded the
motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously
for adoption of the Resolution.
Mayor Younger introduced a discussion regarding Post Road improvements.
George Boeker reviewed with Council five proposals that had been sub-
mitted to the Council in writing for their review, a copy of which is
attached to these minutes. Mr. Boeker stated traffic signalization was
needed at Uhland and Post Road but not at Lime Kiln and Post Road.
Mr. Coddington stated he thought both traffic signals should be en-
gineered at the same time now. He stated he thought the Council had
asked for sidewalks on one side of the road only. Mr. Boeker stated
there is $500,000.00 in bond money available for this project. Messrs.
Coddington, Farr and Nicola stated they wanted sidewalks on just one
side of the road, on the Travis School side. It was consensus of
Council to bring specifications to the Council for authorization to
bid on Proposal 4 totaling $381,500.00 minus $17,000.00 (deduction of
sidewalks on one side of the road) = $364,500.00.
Mr. Brown moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session pursuant
to Article 6252-17, §§2(e) and (g), V.A.C.S., to discuss contemplated
litigation and matters where the duties of the City Attorney to the City
pursuant to Code of Professional Responsibility of the State Bar of
Texas clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17¡ and duties of a public
officer or employee, respectively, and Mr. Coddington seconded the
motion, which 1?assed unanimously (8;26 p.m.).
Mr. Farr moved the Council reconvene at 9:00 n.m. and Mr. Brown se-
conded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 9:01 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Brown and
seconded by Mr. Guerra. ~,
,~-
J 7ß~~
May ,
B~ll C~dd~ngtonC£.c..'?
