73 Regular Meeting April 28, 1986 Page 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING SECTIONS 2-73 (d)(l) AND ( 2) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, ADOPTING NEW SECTIONS 2-73 ( d) (1) AND (2) OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE FOR PRO SE REPRESENTATION OF COUNCIL MEM- BERS IN MUNICIPAL COURT, PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL JUDGE, PROVIDING FOR PRO SE REPRESENTATION OF CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES, AND PROHIBITING THE REPRESENTATION OF OTHERS BY ALL CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES; AND, DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING PRESENT SECTION 4-1.3.a OF ARTILCE IV OF APPENDIX B, THE SAN MARCOS SIGN ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFOR A NEW SECTION 4-1.3.a; AND, DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ADOPTING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE REIM- BURSEMENT OF COUNCIL MEMBER'S EXPENSES WHICH ARE PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 3.04 OF THE SAN MARCOS CHARTER AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington asked the Council to consider tabling this item as he felt it was not entirely accurate. Mr. Coddington moved to amend Part 1, Section f to omit the word etc and add the following: "telephone answering services, typing services if needed, publications, etc; and, " and Mr. Guerra seconded the mo- tion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: FOR : Coddington, Younger, Guerra AGAINST : Brown, Farr, Kissler, Nicola ABSTAIN : None The amendment failed. Mr. Coddington moved to amend Part 1, to add a semicolon (;) and the word and, after the word etc. in Part 1, Section g, and to add a Section h. to read: IINo spouse may attend conferences at City's expense." and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: FOR : Coddington, Farr, Younger, Guerra, Nicola AGAINST : Brown, Kisser ABSTAIN : None The Council then voted unanimously to adopt the Resolution .
