45 DEMOLITION CONTRACT TIns CONTRACT, made this 8 day of ADril , 19 86 , by and be tween Saucedo's. Construction.. Canpany L , hereinafter called the "Contractor", and the City of San ~1arcos, HI'INESSE1H, that the C'.:ontractor and the City of San Marcos for the considerations stated herein mutually agree as follows: 1. STATEMENT OF WJRK The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, material, machinery, tools, equipment, and services, and perform and complete all work in an efficient and workmanlike manner, as follows: the deTIDli tion and complete clean-up and removal from that City property, the SanE be ing part of the Dunbar Recreation Center which was destroyed by fire on ~1arch 15, 1986, not including the clean-up of the chimney bricks. 2. CONTRACT PRICE The City of San Marcos shall pay the Contractor for satisfactory perfonnance of the Contract, in current funds, the sum of Thirtv-Six Htmdred and no/lOO -------------- DOLLARS ($ 3.600.00---) . The City of San l'Jarcos, before making payment, may require the Contractor to furnish releases or receipts from any or all persons performing work and supplying material or services to the Contractor, or any subcontractor, for work under this Contract if deemed necessary to protect its interests. 3. 9JOCONTRACTS The Contractor shall not execute an agreement with any subcontractor or penni t any subcontractor to perfonn any work included in this Contract, until he has received from the City of San Marcos written approval of such agreement or permission. 4. PERMITS AND CODES 'The Contractor shall give all notices required by, and canply with all applicable laws, ordinances, and codes of the said City, the Sta te of Thxas and the United States and shall, at his own expense, secure and pay the fees or charges for all permits required for the perfonnance of the Contract work. 5. CARE OF hORl< The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages to persons or property that occur as a result of his prosecution of the work and shall be responsible for the proper care and protection of all work performed until completion and final approval thereof, whether or not the same has been covered in whole or in part by payments made by the City of San Marcos.
