THENCE, N45" 00 'OO"~J, 344.25 feet along the southwesterly line of said 20-foot alley to an iron pin set; THENCE, N34° 26' OOIlE, 20.34 feet to an iron pin set on the northeasterly line of said alley; THENCE, S45" 00 'OOIlE, 347.98 feet along said line to an iron pin set; THENCE, 8450 OO'OOllliJ, 20.00 feet along the vacated portion of Grace Street to the FaINT OF BEGINNING, containing 6,922 square feet or 0.159 acre of land. be, and it is hereby declared to be, and is henceforth, vacated and abandoned as to any use, right, claim in, or res¡:::onsibility for the upkeep and maintenance by the public in general and the City of San Marcos in particular. SOCTION 3. That the fee to said alley and said ¡:::ortion of an alley is hereby released and shall revert to the State of Texas, for the use and benefit of Southwest Texas State University. SECTION 4. That the f\1ayor of the City of S:m Marcos, Texas be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a special warranty deed to the State of Texas, for the use and benefit of Southwest Texas Sta te University. SOCTION 5. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an erœrgency and an ilnperative public necessity so that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three separa te rœetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption aand after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City as provided by the City Charter of the City of San Marcos.
