<br /> 21 <br /> RESOLUTION 1986-53R <br /> A REffiLUTION CREATING AN LCRA fURCHASE ADVIffiRY IDARD, <br /> ESTABLISHING ITS fURFOSE, APPROVING APFOINTMEl\ITS TO <br /> SAID IDARD, SETTING CERTAIN TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR <br /> ITS OPERATION AND DECLARING AN EFFOCTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT REffiLVED BY 'IRE CITY COUOCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That a temporary advisory board consistin;;¡ of fifteen <br />(15) members to be called the LCRA Purchase .Advisory Board is hereby <br />crea ted. <br /> PART 2. That the purpose of said advisory board is to receive <br />appropriate information from the City's negotiating team about the <br />proposed LCRA system purchase and advise the staff and City Council <br />about purchase conditions, organization of a City electrical system, <br />and the policies under which a City electri~al system may operate. <br /> PART 3. That all rrembers of said advisory board shall be <br />residents of the City of San Marcos, LCRA retail customers and shall <br />not be a member of an electrical cooperative. <br /> PART 4. That said advisory board members shall agree in writing <br />to maintain in strict confidence all information each member receives <br />concernin;;¡ the purchase of the LCRA system that is presently being <br />negotiated by City staff and consultants. <br /> PART 5. That the rrembers of the said LCRA Purchase .Advisory Board <br />shall at their first ITEeting, to be called by the City Manager, elect <br />from arron;;¡ their rrembers a chairperson and any other officers they <br />deem necessary for the board's operation. <br /> PART 6. That the rrernbers of the LCRA Purchase .Advisory Board <br />shall be appointed by the City Council by rrotion with each Council <br />Member selectin;;¡ two Board members and the Mayor selecting three Board <br />members. <br /> PART 7.
