A. EASEMENT SURVEY 1. Field work necessary to determine boundary points required for easements. 2. Research Hays County Real Property Records and preparation of field note description for each easement required. 3. Work performed under this item will be billed on and hourly basis with the estimated cost being $8,000. B. TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY l. Detailed topographic work will be performed along the proposed sewer line route to be used in the engineering design phase. 2. This service includes the field work for data collection and the off~ce work required to reduce the field data to a drawing at a suitable scale for use in the design phase. 3. Work performed under this item will be billed on and hourly basis with the estimated cost being $10,000. C. ENGINEERING DESIGN 1. Coordinate with the OWNER and the City of San Marcos to provide construction drawings required by the City. 2. Establish a soil testing program. Aid OWNER in selecting a soils laboratory. 3. This item includes the design and preparation of construction documents for the following: a. approximately 2,740 linear feet of gravity sewer line, b. approximately 2,900 linear feet of forcemain sewer line, c. lift station, d. connections to existing City lines, e. work performed under this item will be b~lled on an hourly basis with an estimated amount of ~20,000. 4. Preparation of contract documents required for competitive bidding. D. CONSTRUCTION SURVEYING 1. The ENGINEER will provide for the sewer line bench marks and control points at PI's and manhole offsets one time only. 2. Not included ~n this item ~s the detailed construction staking that may be required. The ENGINEER will provide detailed construction staking at the OWNER's request. Survey work required for this will be performed under Item E, Special Services and Assignments. 3. The work for Item D above will be billed on an hour ly basis with the estimated cost to be $3,000. -2-
