<br /> WHEREAS, an on-site public hearing has not been requested in
<br /> writing by more than 20 adults residing in said area: and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notices of said public hearings were published in the
<br /> San Marcos Daily Record, a newspaper having general circulation in
<br /> said City and in the territory proposed for annexation, on April 27,
<br /> 1986 , and April 29, 1986, said dates being not more than twenty
<br /> (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the hearings for
<br /> which notices were given; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, prior to the publication of notices of said hearings,
<br /> the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, directed preparation
<br /> of a service plan that provides for the extension of municipal services
<br /> to said area proposed for annexation: and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said proposed service plan was made available for
<br /> inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to be annexed
<br /> at said public hearings; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said 121.2121 acres are contiguous and adjacent to
<br /> the current boundaries of the City of San Marcos, Texas; now,
<br /> therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITI COUæIL OF THE CITI OF SAN MARCOS,

<br /> SOCTION 1. Th.at the fo Howi ng described property, being
<br /> 121.2121 acres of land adjoining the existing city limi ts of the
<br /> City of San r1arcos, Texas, out of the F.dward Burleson Survey, Abstract
<br /> No. 63, the John R. King Survey, Abstract No. 270, the Henry ývarnel1
<br /> Survey, Abstract No. 492, the ~Jilliam H. Van Horn Survey, Abstract
<br /> No. 464, and the Sarru e 1 Craft Survey, Abstract No. H-89, Hays
<br /> County, Texas, and being a strip of land 500.00 feet wide and
<br /> 10,560.00 feet long contiguous along its northeast line to the
<br /> southwest line of that 108.8490 acre parcel annexed by the City of
<br /> San Marcos by Ordinance 1\10. 1985-48, the centerline of which
<br /> parcel lies along the centerline of Interstate Highway No. 35,
<br /> Hays County, Texas, and being rrore particularly described by
