<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN
<br />(MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR 88.51
<br />ACRES, MORE OR LESS IN THE J.M. VERfu~ENDI SURVEY,
<br />NO.2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS FROM INDUSTRIAL AND
<br />PERMANENT OPEN SPACE AND/OR FLOODPLAIN TO
<br />INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL, OFFICE AND
<br />PROFESSIONAL/FLOATING OFFICE AND PROFESSIONAL, HIGH
<br />DENSITY RßSIDENTIAL, AND PERMANENT OPEN SPACE
<br />AND/OR FLOODPLAIN, SAID 88.51 ACRE TRACT BEING
<br />LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF IH-35 NORTH ADJACENT TO
<br />BUTLER MANUFACTURING COMPANY; AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />WHEREAS, on May 20, 1986, the Joint Planning and Zoning
<br />Commissions of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing
<br />regarding a request to amend the Future Land use Plan (Map) of the
<br />Master Plan from Industrial and Permanent Open Space and/or
<br />Floodplain to Industrial, Commercial, Office and
<br />Professional/Floating Office and Professional, High Density
<br />Residential and Permanent Open Space and/or Floodplain for 88.51
<br />acres, more or less, in the J.M. Veramendi Survey NO.2, located
<br />in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas: and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said
<br />Commissions did on May 20, 1986, consider said request and voted
<br />to approve the same and have recommended that such request be
<br />approved by the City Council of said City; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on 27 day
<br />of June, 1986, regarding such request: and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of the Master Plan pertaining to
<br />amendments have been met: and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that
<br />the adoption of the following Resolution is in the interest of the
<br />public health, morals, welfare and safety: now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />PART 1. That 88.51 acres of land, more or less, in the J.M.
<br />Veramendi Survey No.2, located in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas,
<br />more particularly described by diagram of a land use map as set
<br />forth in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated
<br />herein for all purposes, and is in an area shown on the Future
<br />Land Use Plan (Map) of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos
<br />as Industrial and Permanent Open Space and/or Floodplain shall
<br />henceforth be shown on said map as Industrial, Commercial, Office
<br />and Professional/Floating Office and Professional, High Density
<br />Residential and Permanent Open Space and/or Floodplain.
<br />
<br />PART 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and
<br />effect from and after its passage.
