<br /> 39 <br /> ORDINANCE 1986-70 <br /> ~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING EXHIBIT IIA" OF <br /> -:> THAT ORDINANCE ADOPTED JUNE 9, 1986 WHICH <br /> CALLED FOR THE HOLDING OF A BOND ELECTION TO <br /> BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON JULY 26, 1986 TO <br /> PROVIDE FOR A NEW ALTERNATE PRESIDING JUDGE <br /> FOR PRECINCT 44, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, the Alternate Presiding Judge for Precinct 44, Bess <br /> Carson, designated in Exhibit "A" of that ordinance adopted June <br /> 9, 1986 calling for the holding of a bond election on July 26, <br /> 1986, is unable to serve as such: now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Exhibit "A" of that ordinance adopted June <br /> 9, 1986 which called for the holding of a bond election on July <br /> 26, 1986 is hereby amended to delete the name of Bess Carson as <br /> Alternate Presiding Judge for Precinct 44 and to substitute <br /> therefor the name of Alex Kutch. <br /> SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br /> emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the <br /> prov1s10ns of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be <br /> presented at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall <br /> become effective until the expiration of ten (lO) days following <br /> the date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions <br /> are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be <br /> in full force and effect from and after its adoption and after its <br /> publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as <br /> required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7 day of <br /> -- <br /> July , 1986. ~~---- <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> J?t. ~ct $~ <br /> City Secretary <br /> Approved: \ <br /> ~~ <br /> Lamar W.
