39 ORDINANCE 1986-70 ~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING EXHIBIT IIA" OF -:> THAT ORDINANCE ADOPTED JUNE 9, 1986 WHICH CALLED FOR THE HOLDING OF A BOND ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON JULY 26, 1986 TO PROVIDE FOR A NEW ALTERNATE PRESIDING JUDGE FOR PRECINCT 44, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Alternate Presiding Judge for Precinct 44, Bess Carson, designated in Exhibit "A" of that ordinance adopted June 9, 1986 calling for the holding of a bond election on July 26, 1986, is unable to serve as such: now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Exhibit "A" of that ordinance adopted June 9, 1986 which called for the holding of a bond election on July 26, 1986 is hereby amended to delete the name of Bess Carson as Alternate Presiding Judge for Precinct 44 and to substitute therefor the name of Alex Kutch. SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the prov1s10ns of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (lO) days following the date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.
